AprilAire Filtration Installation & Upgrades
Choose media that fits your cabinet and works with your system’s airflow. The model matters as much as the size on the label.
Options For Your Existing System
Cabinet, Media,
Airflow. Together.
Better Air Northwest installs complete AprilAire media cabinets, replaces suitable existing cabinets, performs basic duct modifications and installs compatible rail or upgrade kits.
The right option depends on the cabinet model, room for installation and the system. Additional duct work needs an individual assessment.
Ask About Your FiltrationBefore Buying a Replacement
- Find the cabinet model.A label on the cabinet or door is more useful than size alone.
- Check the media part number.Nominal dimensions don’t guarantee a compatible fit or rail kit.
- Check the system requirements.A filter needs to suit the airflow and pressure limits of your equipment.
Useful Things To Understand
A Filter Is Part of a System.
Fit & Sealing
Air that passes around a filter isn’t passing through its media. A compatible cabinet and properly fitted, sealed installation matter.
Airflow & Pressure
MERV describes tested particle capture. It doesn’t establish whether a filter is right for every system. Media resistance and the system’s available airflow must be considered together.
Media & Upkeep
Match the specified replacement to your cabinet. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and check loading for your actual conditions rather than assuming one interval suits every home.

We’ll Help with the Questions.
Tell the office your cabinet model, existing media number and what you’d like to change. Installation and upgrade pricing follow an assessment of your system and the work involved.
